Commercial mining of gold from the Company's Golden Chest Mine is set to begin in the spring of 2005, the first such underground production of
gold from the historic mine in nearly 70 years. Production will come from a high-grade gold ore shoot of the Katie-Dora Vein. New Jersey Mining Company,
the lessee and operator of the project, has announced resource calculations of 215 tonnes of ore per vertical foot with a grade of 13.0 grams per tonne
(using a cut-off grade of 5 grams per tonne and a minimum mining width of 2 meters).
The infrastructure necessary to support the mining operation is
currently in place. A new Shop and Dry facility has been erected, 600 meters of new haul road constructed, and 3-phase electrical power was installed
to the mine site.
Approximately 50% of the ore mined from the Katie-Dora Vein ore shoot during the construction of the development ramp has been processed. Gold concentrates are being stored at New Jersey Mining's mill in Kellogg ID, for shipment to a smelter in the first quarter of 2005.

The deep drilling program at the Company's Golden Chest Mine conducted by New Jersey Mining Company successfully established the property's deeper potential. Drill hole DDH-04-6 intercepted 57.7 feet assaying 0.141 ounces of gold per ton, including 19.35 feet assaying 0.295 ounces per ton. Additional drilling is required to fully evaluate this new discovery. However, according to New Jersey Mining President, Fred Brackebusch, "This new discovery raises the probability of developing sufficient resources to support a larger (up to 500,000 tonnes per year) underground mine." |
